The Duke of The Chutes

Harry Vold's 60 Years in Rodeo

Welcome

Harry Vold is called THE DUKE OF THE CHUTES for a reason. Since 1944, Harry has left his mark and influence on rodeos from the Ponoka Stampede to the National Finals Rodeo. The Vold Rodeo Company is the premier rodeo stock contractor providing the bulls and broncs for rodeos large and small, historical and new.

A
uthor Loren R. Whittemore worked closely with Harry to write an important segment of the history of rodeo. Through Harry’s recollections and family memories, the author evokes the days when rodeo week was the highlight of the ranchers’ year and rodeo stock was driven on trails from town to town.
In the book you’ll find names such as Leo J. Cremer, Harry Knight, Gene Autry, Andy Womack, Casey Tibbs, Jim Shoulders, Larry Mahan, and many other rodeo greats who have enriched the life and career of the Duke of the Chutes.

Buck On!!!
